WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION on November 5th, 2024?
- All eligible and registered CA voters will get a ballot mailed to them
- Ballots will be mailed October 7, 2024
- Make sure your voter information lists your current mailing address
- Re-register if you have moved since the last time you registered
- Check your voter information ASAP! Last day to register for the Fall election is October 21, 2024. Go to vote.ca.gov to register if you need to.
3 EASY WAYS TO VOTE:
MAIL: Drop your ballot in the mail (no postage required) before election day. Ballots must be postmarked by November 5th to be counted.
DROP BOXES: Drop your ballot off at any ballot drop box location on or before November 5th. Click HERE for Drop Box locations in Contra Costa County.
POLLING PLACES: Vote in person, register to vote, drop off your Vote-By-Mail ballot or get your voting questions answered at Vote Centers around the County. Click HERE to find the nearest Vote Center!

YES, if you are a
- US citizen and a resident of California
- Age 18+ on Election Day:
- Not currently in prison convicted of a felony
- Not currently found to be mentally incompetent by a court of law
WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER TO VOTE?
- California driver’s license or California Identification Card number
- Last four digits of your Social Security number
- Date of birth
