The Democratic Party of Contra Costa County (DPCCC) is the official organization representing over 380,000 registered Democrats – over 54% of voters in our county.
Our volunteer members work hard advocating for progressive policies, helping elect Democrats, and building a cohesive community that works together to solve challenging problems.
But we don’t stop there. We believe in collaboration. As California Democrats, our members collaborate with allied organizations and individuals to defend and promote the rights, opportunities, and safety of all our state’s residents.
Some of our key priorities include:

Guaranteeing all have access to affordable health care,

Implementing solutions to the climate emergency,

Fostering environmental justice, worker justice, and collaborations for a more just economy,

Reversing income and wealth inequality,

Ensuring every person has a place to live, and

Protecting the fundamental right to vote.
The DPCCC endorses local candidates and takes positions on local and state issues to support legislation and local ballot measures. We ensure our candidates stand by the values and priorities they claimed before their victory to ensure our party’s long-term strength and trustworthiness.
