Democratic Party of Contra Costa County Programs:

  • VOTER REGISTRATION.

Throughout the year, we proactively sign-up new Democrats to vote. As a result, Democrats are now twice the number of Republicans in Contra Costa County.

  • PRECINCT ORGANIZING.

Our all-volunteer Grassroots Organizing Team reaches out to voters where they live.  We provide information on endorsed candidates and motivate our supporters to vote. Given that personal attention to voters substantially increases voter turnout.

  • CANDIDATE SUPPORT.

Correspondingly, we have a long-range plan to recruit, train, and support good Democratic candidates at all levels.  Local candidates include offices like city councils, school boards, and special districts.

  • COMMUNICATIONS.

To build the Party and support Democratic campaigns, we proactively communicate our message to Democrats and the general public through the media. Simultaneously, we build relationships with community allies to promote our shared values and priorities.

  • FUNDRAISING & INFRASTRUCTURE.

Through our fundraising efforts, our local candidates in Contra Costa County have the resources they need to accomplish our mutual goals. These funds help our candidates build the infrastructure needed to benefit all Contra Costa Democrats.
