Who we are

The Democratic Party of Contra Costa County (DPCCC) is the official organization representing over 380,000 registered Democrats in our county – over 54% of voters.
County Central Committees like DPCCC drive the front-line efforts of the California Democratic Party: registering and educating voters, protecting the right to vote, and working to elect candidates who will fight for our values. From local elections to Congressional races, we are working hard to help Democrats win and engage more voters.
DPCCC is your gateway to getting involved in local Democratic politics – you have 3 options:
#1 JOIN US AND GET CONNECTED WITH LOCAL DEMOCRATS. Become a member of the DPCCC and/or join one of our chartered Democratic Clubs. We need your help!  Volunteer on one of the DPCCC’s Standing Committees.
#2 NOT A JOINER, BUT WANT TO VOLUNTEER DURING ELECTIONS?  We provide volunteer opportunities for you to make a difference in our democracy, one voter and one conversation at a time, through phone banking, doors knocks and fundraising.  Check out our volunteer activities by clicking HERE. Or click HERE to fill out a form so you can talk to someone about where you can best apply your skills while volunteering.
#3 JUST WANT TO DONATE TO HELP OUR LOCAL CANDIDATES? The DPCCC endorses local candidates and takes positions on local and state issues to support legislation and local ballot measures. We ensure our candidates stand by the values and priorities they claimed before their victory to ensure our party’s long-term strength and trustworthiness. To help us get local Democrats elected consider donating to our 2024 Campaign Unity Fund.
We believe in collaboration. As California Democrats, our members collaborate with allied organizations and individuals to defend and promote the rights, opportunities, and safety of all our state’s residents.
