VOTE NO Campaign – Ohio Democratic Party

Ohio citizens plan to put reproductive choice on the ballot in November 2023, as well as an anti-gerrymandering measure in 2024. In response, Republican legislators want to raise the percentage required to pass a ballot referendum from a simple majority to 60%. 
Knowing that most of Ohioans support a referendum to ensure abortion rights, Ohio Republicans have approved a special election for August 8th to change the referendum threshold. They are hoping that the usual low turnout in August elections will allow them to ram through this subversion of democracy. 
Join Contra Costa Democrats and Swing Left on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 to 4:30 pm (PT) until the election on August 8th to call voters to VOTE NO on this Republican special election ballot.
